ERnest Roblin, whose names are Hippolyte Ernest, is a native of Poitiers, where he was born, Saint-Nicolas, November 6, 1831, Antoine Roblin, arquebusier, and Marie Louise Bulliau.
Ernest began the job as a photographer at 12, rue de l'Entrepôt [1] in Paris in 1876 [2], its advertising in directories Granville says its function as a former director of photography Castle-d'Eau. He joined in 1880 in the French Society of Photography. Around 1885 he left the capital, after having sold his studio in Paris at a certain Wildor [3], to open a photographic studio in Granville, 102 of the street Couraye, better known as the Paris Photo [4].
In 1890 his studio became the Maritime Photography Castel-Photo, now located at the corner of two roads in Coutances, near the Casino de Granville.
Like all photographers from the coast, eager to attract a clientele of vacationers, it is a laboratory available to amateurs and adheres to the Touring Club of Paris.
He practiced portrait format "calling card" on paper barium, its cartons are printed in Paris by JH Nacivet, 6, rue de Braque in the 3rd arrondissement [5]. He is also a view of Saint Paul Church under construction, dating from 1898, preserved in the presbytery St. Paul.
By 1899 he sells his case to Francis.
His son Paul Albert, born around 1870, is mentioned in the register photographer census quinquennaus of 1 in 1901, this old road Coutances
