Introducing the limited edition Selfridges ‘Coca-Cola' Centenary Bottle
Coca-Cola Selfridges Bottle_sm.jpg‘Coca-Cola' is celebrating Selfridges' 100th birthday with the exclusive Selfridges Centenary Bottle, an eye-catching limited edition original glass bottle that shines in the store's signature shade of yellow.
Set to become the must-have for any dedicated shopper in need of refreshment this summer, the bottle sees the coming together of instantly recognisable icons: the coveted Selfridges' yellow shopping bag, the classic contoured original glass bottle and classic red ‘Coca-Cola' script, creating a distinctive and bright bottle wrap.
The brands have a longstanding history, with ‘Coca-Cola' being first poured in the UK in Selfridges in 1926. Over 80 years on, both brands are as relevant now as they ever were.

This is the latest partnership between Coca-Cola Great Britain and Selfridges, following a series of exciting bottle collaborations sold exclusively in store. Summer 2008 saw stylist to the stars, Patricia Field, give ‘diet Coke' a sexy new look in the ‘diet Coke' City Collection, four beautiful, bespoke bottle designs, that captured today's modern woman. Later in the year, renowned photographer, Rankin lent his signature style to create the London 2012 ‘Coca-Cola' bottle to celebrate the handing over of the Olympic flag from Beijing to London. Back in 2003, British designer Matthew Williamson also put his style to the ‘Coca-Cola' original glass bottle, creating a striking hot pink and yellow design.
The bottles will be sold exclusively in Selfridges throughout the UK this summer priced at £1.29 and will be showcased in the London Oxford Street store's stunning centenary window displays.

About Selfridges
* The business was founded by American entrepreneur Gordon Selfridge in 1909 and run by him until he retired in 1940 and took on the role of President. Gordon Selfridge died in 1947. Four years later the business was sold to Lewis' of Liverpool for £3.4 million.
* In 1965 Charles Clore's British Shoe Corporation won control of Selfridges in take-over for £63 million. New developments included the opening of Miss Selfridge.
* In 1998 the company was de-merged from the Sears Group and floated on the London Stock Exchange.
